As the conflict continues in Sudan, urgent measures are needed to safeguard educational institutions, support students and educators, and ensure that higher education remains a beacon of hope and resilience in Sudan. International partnerships and collaborations, vital for the exchange of knowledge and research opportunities, have also been adversely affected, isolating Sudanese institutions from the global academic community. The prolonged instability threatens to create a generation of young people deprived of higher education, exacerbating the brain drain and stifling the intellectual growth crucial for Sudan’s recovery and development.
