Dr. Ayad Al-Moslih, is currently the head of preclinical education section at the College of Medicine, Qatar University.
Ayad commenced his career as an emergency physician and chose medical education as a career track where his passion for both of these fields made him combine them in a journey of career development.
His career journey over the past 17 years, includes completing a master degree in health professions education at Maastricht University in Netherlands, and a second master in disaster medicine at the University of Eastern Piedmont in Novara, Italy. Moreover, he is a certified provider and trainer in a handful of life support courses in the fields of resuscitation, trauma, disaster medical response, and point-of-care ultrasound, by international organizations in North America, UK & Europe, in addition to a trainer recognition by the Global Trainers Federation and Provider recognition by the Royal College of Surgeons' Faculty of prehospital care in Edinburgh. He has also been a Regional Faculty for the American Heart Association in the MENA region since 2011 and has lead and participated in the review commission of the Arabic translation of AHA guidelines & training material since 2015.
He delivered several talks and workshops in the fields of disaster medical response, simulation and health professions education.
His research interest revolves around the role of technology in enhancing learning in medical education i.e. ubiquitous learning, learning clinical skills in simulated environments, and assessment of clinical competence."
