Dr. Abdelrahim completed his medical school and post graduate diploma of public health from University of Gezira in Sudan. He attained a Fellowship of the Sudanese Community Medicine from Sudan National Medical Specialization Board in 2003. He attained a Master in Medical and Health and Health Professions Education at Suez Canal University (Egypt) and Maastricht University (Netherlands) in 2014. He also attained a Master degree in Health Informatics and Data Analytics as School of Health and Human Services at George Mason University (USA) in 2020. His academic interests are leadership development, health informatics, system thinking, the pedagogy of teaching and training others to teach. Dr. Abdelrahim is involved in health professions education across the continuum of undergraduate and graduate training at the University of Gezira and Avicenna Health Institute. He serves as the President of AHI; Director of Leadership Development at Powersim Solutions Inc., USA; and Facilitator for Online Master degree program at the University of Gezira.
Dr. Abdelrahim has over twenty years of experience in healthcare in diverse roles and areas including public health, higher education, population health and informatics. Expertise in health research, data analytics, curriculum design and teaching, business analysis, system thinking, creating efficiencies, and organizational design/redesign, as well as experience in change management and project management in multi-cultural environment in USA, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Nigeria and Sudan.
